Taylor Swift wins Album of the Year Grammy, breaking record

Pop powerhouse Taylor Swift on Sunday made Grammy history by winning her fourth Album of the Year award for "Midnights" — the most ever by any artist.

With her record-breaking triumph, the 34-year-old surpassed music icons Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder with the most wins of the top Grammy.

The Onassis Cultural Center, familiarly known as Stegi, will be hosting Jaimeo Brown Transcendence on Friday, January 27, a project featuring drummer, composer, educator and activist Jaimeo Brown (who has worked with Stevie Wonder and Carlos Santana, among others), producer and guitarist Chris Sholar (Kanye West, Jay Z) and Jaleel Shaw (Chick Corea, Dave Holland) on alto sax.

Esperanza Spalding comes to Istanbul

The new superstar of jazz, Esperanza Spalding, will perform at Istanbul's Cemal Re?it Rey (CRR) Concert Hall on Oct. 24. 

The young U.S. bassist, vocalist, cellist and composer broke out in 2011, winning four Grammy Awards including the award for Best New Artist - making her the first jazz artist to win the award.
