The Ministry of Health with an explanation of the order for the new measures

From today (August 20), the heads of all administrations must organize the work process in the respective organization, establishing working hours with variable limits and the beginning of the working day between 7.30 and 10 o'clock.

"In the coming days, almost the entire country will enter the orange zone, and restrictive measures may be needed next week." This was said by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov to BTV.

He explained that the number of people in need of intensive care had risen from 100 to 160 in just one day, and said the intensity of the pandemic was increasing.

12.5 million levs (BGN) are intended for a reserve of medicinal products for which a deficit may occur due to mass use. This was said by the Caretaker Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov during his hearing at the joint meeting of the Committee on Budget and Finance, the Committee on Health and the Committee on Labor and Social Policy, earlier today.

The Caretaker Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov and the management of the associations of hospitals in the country discussed the measures that should be taken in connection with the expected increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the country, the Ministry of Health announced.

As of today, vaccinated employees against COVID-19 will not be required to wear masks at their workplaces, according to an Order by Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov signed on Tuesday (July 6th).

However, this Order revoked same relief for cured employees who were ill and they should continue to wear masks.

If there is information about a significant negative change in the epidemic situation in a country from a green or orange zone, specific anti-epidemic measures may be applied to persons arriving in Bulgaria. This was ordered by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov with his order issued today, July 5. The order takes effect on Thursday, July 8.
