Shipyard investments become ‘strategic’

Investments in the shipbuilding industry will be considered of strategic importance, Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos said on Wednesday during his visit to Elefsis Shipyards, close to Piraeus. He added that the shipbuilding industry will offer more opportunities for safe employment for young people who want to work and produce in this area.

Final list of reduced supermarket products released

An updated and expanded list of 362 products whose prices will be lowered was announced by the Development Ministry on Tuesday.

The price reductions range from 5% to 24%, while the price of a total of 600 products will be gradually reduced, according to estimates from the Greek Supermarket Association.

Attracting major investments

The redesign of the investment incentives law, both in terms of the business sectors that are strengthened and in terms of incentives, as well as the redistribution of resources, is at the heart of the interventions the government announced on Monday in its effort to transform Greece's production model.

Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos emphasized that he has made it clear from the start that they will do everything possible and remain open to any serious and positive proposal to curb prices, especially for food and essential goods.
