WHO: No More Functioning Hospitals In Northern Gaza
World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that Northern Gaza has no more functioning hospitals, The New York Times reported.
The WHO Director-General described scenes of horror witnessed by aid workers in the ruins of two partially destroyed medical facilities.
Northern Gaza left without functional hospital: WHO
The northern Gaza were left without a functional hospital due to a lack of fuel, staff, and supplies, a senior official from the World Health Organization stated.
"There are actually no functional hospitals left in the north," Richard Peeperkorn, the WHO representative in Gaza, said in an online press conference thursday.
Israel faces mounting outrage over Gaza war
Israel has faced mounting international pressure Monday over the rising civilian death toll and destruction of hospitals in Gaza as it pressed on with its strikes in the besieged Palestinian territory.
The United Nations Security Council was set to vote Monday on a new resolution calling for an "urgent and sustainable cessation of hostilities" in Gaza.

WHO denounces 'destruction' of Gaza hospital
The head of the World Health Organization on Sunday denounced "the effective destruction" of the Kamal Adwan hospital in the north of Gaza, adding that at least eight patients had died.
Among the deceased patients was a 9-year-old child, said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

The World Health Organization has been able to restore communications with health officials at Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza, but it is no longer functioning as a hospital.
According to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the constant shooting and bombing has worsened the already critical situation.
