WHO: Biggest Killers Are Heart Disease, Cancer and Diabetes
Noncommunicable diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes are now the leading causes of death in the world, in a dramatic change from two decades ago.
They now make up seven of the Top 10 causes of death, an increase from four out of 10 in 2000, with heart disease the biggest killer - accounting for 16% of all deaths.

New Ebola Outbreak in Congo
Up to 12 people have been found infected with Ebola in a new outbreak of the deadly disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday.
A week ago, authorities reported six infections in the northwestern city of Mbandaka, saying they appeared to be separate from another outbreak of the virus that has raged in the east since 2018.

The World Health Organization said on May 25 it had temporarily suspended clinical trials of hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for COVID-19 being carried out across a range of countries as a precautionary measure.
WHO chief says COVID-19 cases highest since outbreak
The World Health Organization (WHO) on May 20 said that in the past 24 hours 106,000 COVID-19 cases were reported globally, the largest single-day figure since the start of the outbreak.
