Temenuzhka Petkova

The National Revenue Agency has begun a check in the deal between the electricity distribution company CEZ and Intercom, the Bulgarian National Radio said on 26th of February.

 Bulgarian Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova submitted her resignation on Friday in order to "erase all doubts" about a deal that saw the assets of the largest private energy company in Bulgaria, CEZ, sold to a family-owned business to which she allegedly has ties.

It is not possible to carry out a nuclear project, including the Belene NPP, without the participation of the state. This is the main conclusion of the Risk Analysis for Variants of the Belene NPP project, prepared by the Vienna International Center for Nuclear Competence on the recommendation of the Bulgarian Atomic Forum (BULATOM).

''The country's electricity system is stable, Bulgarian citizens have no reason to worry. Because of the way in which Bulgarian energy is developing, I think there are no grounds for raising the price of electricity.''

This became clear from the words of the Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova in an interview with BNT.

"We are now starting to build the highway here," Borissov announced, talking about  Strumica-Petrich highway, reported BGNES. 

The first joint meeting of the governments of the Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria is held today in Strumica.

Bulgarian and Turkish gas operators Bulgartransgaz and Botaş will hold meetings as soon as possible to speed up progress for the Turkey-Bulgaria Gas Interconnection Project "ITB," Nadezhda Neynsky, Bulgaria's ambassador to Turkey, told state-run Anadolu Agency on Sept. 25.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak met Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova in Sofia Wednesday.

Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia will deepen cooperation under projects which guarantee security of gas supplies to Southeastern Europe, according to the words of the Bulgaria's Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova, her Greek counterpart Giorgos Stathkakis and Serbia's Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic said during the tripartite meeting with the 1st Oil and Gas Forum held in Alexandroupoli.

Bulgarian Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova is in Alexandroupoli, Greece, for the first edition of the Forum for Petrol and Gas, organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.

Officials from energy watchdogs, market players, energy experts, entrepreneurs and investors will be discussing together the latest developments in the region's energy projects.
