There's Such People looks to be in turmoil after party founder Trifonov announced its withdrawal from Bulgaria's coalition government. PM Kiril Petkov's cabinet may yet survive, however.

One of those who resigned, Radostin Vassilev, who was Minister of Youth and Sport, alleged on Monday that "the mafia has taken over the party".

"I have promised society to obey the law and I can't leave certain things unsaid," Vassilev also told bTV on Tuesday morning.

"We Continue the Change" will offer the signing of a coalition agreement, which will include all important topics for our country, announced the co-chairman of the formation Kiril Petkov on the air of "Nova TV".

If the word "interregnum" had to be explained with present-day examples in a European textbook, Bulgaria could well be used to describe what is essentially a (potentially dark) period between two regimes.

Slavi revised his decision to nominate Nikolay Vassilev as Prime Minister of Bulgaria. The ITN leader has clearly not withstood pressure from the media and political opponents. He defended Vassilev, but made it clear that for him more important than who is at the head of the state is to "scratch" the GERB model.

GERB was leading with 23.9 per cent while There's Such a Nation was a close second with 23.7 per cent.

A sure presence in the next cabinet is the pro-EU and pro-Western alliance, Democratic Bulgaria, and also the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, which focuses on the ethnic Turkish community but is seemingly losing support amid a slew of allegations of corruption and influence peddling. The new parliament is expected to also feature "Stand Up.BG!

The Movement for Rights Freedoms, focused on the ethnic Turkish community and embroiled in controversies over decades, also experienced a drop in trust by its voting base.

Meanwhile the pro-EU alliance Democratic Bulgaria and newly formed "Stand Up.BG! Mobsters Out!", which both gained momentum during the 2020 protests, surprised analysts with an even bigger take than expected.

The big winner of the elections 2021 - Slavi Trifonov's party "There is such a people", which at the first appearance on the political scene has garnered 600,000 votes, will act resolutely. Trifonov has already decided to boycott attempts by the new parliament to form a government.

GERB, There Is Such a People, BSP, MRF, Democratic Bulgaria, Stand Up, Mafiosi out, VMRO. Such is the "order of appearance" of the parties and coalitions that will surely enter the new, 45th National Assembly, according to the Gallup exit polls. However, the percentages received mean nothing so far because they are unofficial.
