Romania 3-0 Northern Ireland in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier

Romania defeated Northern Ireland 3-0 (0-0) on Monday evening at the Anghel Iordanescu Stadium in Voluntari, in a Group 8 qualifying match for the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in 2021. Denmark are first, with 9 points (3 matches), followed by Finland, 7 points (4), Romania, 6 points (3), Ukraine, 3 points (3), Northern Ireland, 2 points (4), Malta, 1 point (3).

European Under-21 Championship: Romania 2-4 Germany

Romania lost to defending champions Germany 2-4 (2-1) in the semi-finals of the European Under-21 football championship in Italy and San Marino on the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium in Bologna on Thursday. Scoring for the winners were Nadi Amiri (21', 90'+ 4') and Luca Waldschmidt (51' - penalty, 90'), while George Puscas scored the goals for Romania (26' - penalty, 44').

Euro 2020 qualifiers: Malta 0-4 Romania

Romania defeated Malta 4-0 (3-0) on Monday night at the Ta'Qali National Stadium in a Group F EURO 2020 qualifier. The Romanian side won their first ever match against the Maltese side thanks to the goals scored by George Puscas (7, 29), Alexandru Chipciu (34) and Dennis Man (90 + 1). Romania will play their next qualifier against Spain, on the National Arena in Bucharest on September 5.
