Mariana Nikolova is the New Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria

After nearly four-hour debates, the parliament elected Mariana Nikolova as Deputy Prime Minister in place of resigning Valeri Simeonov. The motives for the candidature were presented in plenary by Deputy Prime Minister and Co-President of the United Patriots Krasimir Karakachanov, in the presence of Nikolova herself.

Bulgaria Stands Behind Hungary and Against Brussels

At a working meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, convened at the request of Deputy Prime Ministers Krasimir Karakachanov and Valeriy Simeonov and the Environment Minister Neno Dimov, the Bulgarian Government has decided to draft a position in defense of Hungary and against the proposal to initiate a criminal proceedings against it under Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union.

150 are the Dams in the Country that are in a Bad Condition

About 150 dams in the country are in a bad condition. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov to journalists today. Strong Public Support for Beach Checks

Checks on compliance with beach rules have strong public support. 81% of Bulgarian citizens approve inspections, while only 15% are against. According to data from Gallup International's express poll,  conducted among 800 adult Bulgarians through a panel methodology that allows national representation of the data, the agency said.
