Hungary's Orban Cheers For Gruevski in Macedonia Election

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Slovenia's former PM Janez Jansa have given a hearty boost to Macedonia's ousted leader Nikola Gruevski in the run-up to Macedonia's local elections.

In the resort town of Ohrid, the three of them held a joint press conference accompanied by some of Gruevski's VMRO DPMNE mayoral candidates.

Hungary cuts illegal immigration by 99% after building a wall

Illegal immigration into Hungary has been cut by over 99% after the country built a series of border fences in response to the European migrant crisis.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Chief Security Advisor, György Bakondi has announced that the border fences have cut the number of illegal immigrants entering the country from 391,000 in 2015, to 1,184 in 2017.

Ska Keller: 'No excuse' for EU states not to share refugees

EU lawmakers have welcomed a court ruling rejecting an appeal by Hungary and Slovakia against the European Union's flagship refugee-sharing scheme.

Lead parliamentarian on the scheme Ska Keller said Wednesday that the ruling means "there is no excuse" for EU states not to share refugees from Greece and Italy as they have committed to do.
