Namely, today the deputies of different groups of the European Parliament (EP) agreed on a joint proposal for a resolution on the situation in Serbia after the elections.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received MEP Viola von Cramon on Monday, and said they had had a good and open discussion.

"We discussed the Serbian elections, regional topics and Serbia's European path," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

President Vui emphasized that the most important topic for him was the discussion about Kosovo and Metohija situation.

"It is clear that Spain will not recognize the independence of Kosovo, it remains with its position, it respects the integrity and sovereignty of Serbia," Vucic said.

Namely,Von Cramon expressed hope that there would be a change of approach towards official Belgrade. According to her, that change could happen when her party takes over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, as envisaged by the coalition agreement.

They call on the EU and its partners to continue working to de-escalate the crisis, and on the leaders of Belgrade and Pristina to use the EU-mediated dialogue platform to resolve all outstanding issues, including those related to freedom of movement.

The European Parliament on Thursday adopted a resolution to amend the EU report on Serbia and investigate claims that Serbia has been classifying as "inactive" the addresses of mainly ethnic Albanians deemed no longer to be living at these addresses.
