US not in favor of resumption of Turkish flights over Syria

Russia Has Not Completely Abandoned South Stream, Turkish Stream - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Moscow has neither abandoned the projected South Stream natural gas pipeline nor what has been considered as its substitute Turkish Stream.

Putin added that Russia is waiting for clear position of the European Commission on both projects, TASS news agency quotes him as saying.

Putin visits Orthodox monastic community at Mount Athos

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived at the northern Greek peninsula of Mount Athos, on a visit to the autonomous Orthodox Christian monastic community here.

Putin flew from Athens to the northern city of Thessaloniki Saturday morning, went by road near Mt.Athos and then took a boat - the only means to reach the community.
