Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi highlighted in a phone conversation yesterday that the fight against terrorists should continue not only in Syria but also in Libya and Yemen, the Kremlin said in a statement. 

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will on March 9 and 10 visit Russia where he will meet with President Vladimir Putin and Russian Patriarch Kirill.

Nikolic will receive the award of the International Public Fund of Unity of Orthodox Peoples for 2015.

A fragile truce in Syria must be used to try to secure a lasting peace without President Bashar al-Assad, European leaders told Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 4, according to a spokeswoman for British Prime Minister David Cameron. 

Two right-wing organisations, Zavetnici (Oath Keepers) and the Patriotic Movement of Serbia led by retired police general Bratislav Dikic, held an anti-NATO rally in King Milan Square in Nis on Friday, demanding a national referendum on NATO membership.

Vedomosti quotes a source close to Gazprom as saying two legs, 16 billion cubic meters yearly each, could possibly "be built to Turkley... and to Bulgaria".

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday morning that his government was ready to assist in implementing a ceasefire in Syria, which was proposed by Russia and U.S.A.

The agreement on ceasefire will take effect on February 27, and concerns the cessation of hostilities in Syria, excluding Islamic State and Nusra Front militants.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has assured Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin of his government's readiness to respect a ceasefire deal brokered by Moscow and Washington, the Kremlin said on Feb. 24.
