North Macedonia's main opposition VMRO DPMNE party on Wednesday pledged to continue daily roadblocks until the Social Democratic government of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev "comes clean" over its ongoing talks with neighbouring Bulgaria over their history dispute.

Macedonia's government is insisting that it is "business as usual" for Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski in spite of an ongoing deep political crisis in the country.

In the past week, when not participating in crisis talks with the opposition, Gruevski has made the most of opportunities to attend a series of high-profile promotional events.

The Macedonian Parliament approved on Wednesday the reshuffles in the government of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, which were necessitated after the resignations of the interior and transport ministers.

Macedonian MPs on Wednesday backed the appointment of a new Interior Minister, Mitko Cavkov, who was head of the Public Security Bureau, and a new Transportation Minister, Vlado Misajlovski, who headed the state roads enterprise.

The vote was held in the absence of the opposition MPs who have boycotted parliament since the April elections, which they say were conducted fraudulently.
