Coronavirus situation a bit better, worsening expected after holidays, Janša says
Maribor – Statistics show an improvement in the epidemiological situation, but the government is aware a partial relaxation of movement restrictions during the Christmas and New Year holidays will produce some new coronavirus cases, PM Janez Janša said on Sunday. He said it was too early to say whether school would reopen on 4 January.
A record 66 Covid-19 patients died in Slovenia yesterday
Ljubljana- A record 66 Covid-19 patients died in Slovenia on Monday as 1,627 new coronavirus cases were confirmed, up by more than a quarter from the week before. The positivity rate stood at 26.4%, one percentage point down compared to Sunday, government data show.
Hospitals filling as influx of Covid-19 patients persists
Ljubljana/Maribor – There were a record 1,299 coronavirus patients in Slovenian hospitals on Tuesday and the country’s largest hospitals, the university medical centres in Ljubljana and Maribor, are filling up.
