A depleted Greek national basketball team went down 84-61 in Serbia on Monday for its first loss in 10 World Cup qualification games.

Greece extended its perfect record in the World Cup qualifiers to nine wins in as many games, beating Germany 92-84 in Patra on Friday.

Greece has all but qualified to next year's World Championship in China thanks to its 70-63 home win over Serbia at Iraklio on Thursday.

Greece's national basketball team had to work hard to beat Great Britain 75-70 at Iraklio and preserve its perfect record in its World Cup qualifying group.
