Sofia Municipality Approves BGN 1,49 B Budget
The Council of Sofia municipality has approved the budget for 2015, amounting to BGN 1,49 B, BGNES information agency reported.
Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova announced that the budget will further facilitate the construction of 8 new kindergartens, as well as the start for 8 more.

New Sofia Metro Station to Increase Daily Commuter Numbers by 25,000
The number of commuters using the underground railway system in Sofia are expected to increase by 25,000 a day when the new Vitosha Station opens next year, city mayor Yordanka Fandakova said on Friday.

UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova has been declared Honorary Citizen of Sofia.
Bokova was awarded honorary citizenship at a ceremony at the Sofia Municipality on Monday.
The event was attended by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, Deputy Education Minister Boil Banov, and Elen Gerdzhikov, Chair of the Sofia Municipal Council.

Grigor Dimitrov Declared Bulgaria’s Best Sportsperson for 2014
Star tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has won the award Bulgarian Sportsperson of the Year for 2014.
In 2014, Dimitrov made it into the top 10 of ATP, reaching place 8, and won three titles, getting to the ½-finals of Wimbledon and the ¼-finals of Australian Open, according to reports of Sega daily. He currently holds 11th place in the ATP ranking.

This happened as Georgieva was turning the first sod on the new "Children's House" in Sofia (an event launched by the For Our Children foundation of which Mr Behar is a member).

The City of Film program is part of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network.
The new cities were announced by UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova in Paris.
