PM Boyko Borissov and The Mayor Fandakova Inspected the Third Metro Iine in Sofia

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov inspected the third metro line in Sofia, which will be launched by the end of the summer.

He was accompanied by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and Transport Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, together with Metropolitan Executive Director Eng. Stoyan Bratoev

 

Baby Food Kitchens and Malls to Reopen Today in Bulgaria, May 18

All of the 75 baby food kitchens in Sofia are to open on 18 May, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova announced.

"All premises where the food is prepared have been disinfected following all health and sanitary requirements. The kitchen staff has been tested for Covid-19," Mayor Fandakova said.

Part of the Third Line of the Sofia Subway to be Put into Exploitation in the Summer

Part of the newly constructed third subway line will be released in late July or early August. This was announced by Mayor Yordanka Fandakova after an inspection at the Hadzhi Dimitar metro station.

It was decided for all 8 metro stations from Vladimir Vazov Boulevard to Zhitnitsa Street to be put into exploitation.

Sofia Subway: The Trains will Travel at 4,5 Minute Intervals

As of today, the trains in Sofia's subway will travel at 4,5 minute intervals.

The trains will travel on a more frequent timetable during rush hour to stop owercrowding of passengers.

The change was ordered by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova because of the measures against the spread of COVID-19.
