Bulgaria Elections 2021: Alcohol Banned in Several Municipalities

Plovdiv mayor Zdravko Dimitrov has banned the sale, serving and consumption of alcohol in public catering establishments and other public places on April 4, the day of Bulgaria's parliamentary elections.

The ban will be in effect from 6am until 9pm on Sunday. Voting in Bulgaria's parliamentary elections is scheduled to end at 8pm.

GERB Named its Mayoral Candidates for Plovdiv, Rousse and Haskovo

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's party GERB on August 15 named its candidates for mayors of Plovdiv, Rousse, and Haskovo in the forthcoming local government elections in October 2019, reports BNT

The incumbent mayors in the three cities are from the GERB party, but they are not among the newly named candidates.

Revenues From Organized Hunting Tourism Amount to BGN 7.5 million For 2018

In 2018, BGN 7,5 million were generated from organized hunting tourism, which is by BGN 900,000  more than the previous year, reported Econ.bg

This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forests Rumen Porozhanov at the opening of the 25th International Exhibition "Nature, hunting, fishing" in Plovdiv.
