The Croatian parliament on Wednesday will discuss a declaration on the rights of Croats living in Bosnia and Herzegovina which calls for changes to Bosnia's constitution and electoral law which it claims will ensure equality for Croats in the country.

Three former High Represenatives to Bosnia, Carl Bildt, Paddy Ashdown, and Christian Schwarz-Schilling, expressed their concern in an open letter to EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini on Thursday over Croatian attempts to dispute the legitimacy of the election of Zeljko Komsic as the Bosnian Croat member of the state's tripartite presidency.

Ahead of the formation of new governments in Bosnia after the October 7 elections, Milorad Dodik, leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, and Dragan Covic, the head of Bosnia's Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ, on Monday confirmed a coalition agreement after a meeting in East Sarajevo.

Before taking up his new post as Serbian member of Bosnia's tripartite presidency, Milorad Dodik announced on Wednesday that he will take an oath before the assembly of Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity, Republika Srpska, the day before is sworn in.

The newly-elected Croat member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's tripartite state presidency, Zeljko Komsic, claimed in an open letter to EU officials on Tuesday that Croatia is involved in "diplomatic aggression" against his country.

They wrote about the outcome of the recent general elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina, expressing deep concern over the fact that the Croat representative (Zeljko Komsic) in the BiH Presidency were elected by Bosniaks (Muslims), while the vast majority of Croats voted for another candidate.

That would trigger a reciprocal reaction, said Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, reacting to to Zeljko Komsic's statement that Kosovo is "an independent state to him."

In an interview with Croatia's public broadcaster HRT, Zeljko Komsic said, a day after he was elected, that"Croatia had "twice broken a convention on the law of the sea."

The hard-line leader of the Bosnian Serbs, Milorad Dodik, has won the Serbian seat on Bosnia's tripartite state presidency, according to still incomplete results from Sunday's elections.

Bosnia's politial future looked more uncertain on Monday after the hard-line Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik looked set to win the Serbian seat on Bosnia's three-member state presidency.

Polls closed at 7pm on Sunday in an election in which 3,352,933 voters were eligible to vote at 5,794 polling stations.
