Montenegrin Prosecutors ‘Pressurised by Superiors in Serbian Gang Case’

On October 14, 2021, the Basic Prosecution in Podgorica detained the two police officers, Aleksandar Boskovic and Sasa Djurovic, for allowing Belivuk and Miljkovic to enter the country.

The Interior Ministry also axed six other police directors' assistants.

One of the blocs in the ruling coalition, URA, said that the sackings of police officers who were close to the former administration was fulfilling the new government's promises.

Montenegro Probes Leaked Police Threat to Church Protesters

Montenegro's General Prosecutors Office has launched an investigation into the leak of a telephone conversation between what appeared to be two senior police officers on January 6, in which one said Serbian Orthodox Church believers rallying over Christmas would "get their asses kicked if they make trouble during the church gathering".
