Zorana Trajkovic

Belgrade Higher Court sentenced Dalibor Krstovic to nine years in prison on Thursday for raping a female Bosniak prisoner while she was being detained at an elementary school in the town of Kalinovik during the war in August 1992.

Judge Zorana Trajkovic said that victim was captured with her two children, aged seven and nine, and that she was a "civilian in a helpless position".

The trial of Dalibor Krstovic, a Bosnian Serb fighter during the Bosnian war who is charged with raping a Bosniak woman in the town of Kalinovik in August 1992, started on Monday at the Higher Court in Belgrade.

Belgrade High Court on Thursday found Zeljko Krnjacic, Milan Devcic, Darko Peric, Radovan Vlajkovic, Radisav Josipovic, Jovan Dimitrijevic, Sasa Stojanovic and Zoran Kosijer guilty of involvement in a war crime against civilians in Lovas in Croatia in October 1991.
