Albanian visitors to Greece break receipts record in 2022
Albanian tourist revenues in Greece rose spectacularly by 157% last year compared to 2021 and by 33% compared to 2019, Greek Deputy Minister for Tourism Sofia Zacharaki said after attending "The Future of Environmental Sustainable Tourism in Albania" (FESTA) forum in Tirana on April 3-5.

Bulgarian and Greek Tourism Ministers Meet at UNWTO Forum in Athens
Bulgarian caretaker Tourism Minister Stela Baltova held a working meeting with Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theocharis during a UNWTO forum in Athens, Baltova's Ministry said in a press release Friday. At the meeting Baltova said that Greece is traditionally one of Bulgaria's best partners in tourism and thanked Theocharis for his readiness to strengthen and develop the cooperation.
WTO intends to make Greece a tourism education center
Greece is turning into a focal point for global tourism professionals and investors, as World Tourism Organization Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili announced during a visit on Monday to Athens that the creation of a tourism academy in Greece and a global forum on investing in Greek tourism are under consideration.

Tourism and its role in the economic growth of the European Union is the leading topic of the informal meeting of EU tourism ministers, which is held today in Sofia.
