Saudi warplanes to arrive at Turkey's ?ncirlik air base on Feb 26

Saudi warplanes sent to support the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) coalition have been scheduled to arrive at ?ncirlik Air Base in Turkey's southeastern province of Adana on Feb. 26, private broadcaster CNN Türk has reported.

The report said advance guards had already arrived at the base as of Feb. 25.

Saudi committee to visit ?ncirlik base prior to fighter jet deployment

A delegation from Saudi Arabia was expected to arrive at ?ncirlik air base in Turkey's south on Feb. 24 in order to conduct preliminary research for four F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets it will send in support of the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) coalition.

Saudi Arabia is sending planes to the ?ncirlik Air Base in the southern Turkish province of Adana, where jets from the U.S.-led anti-ISIL coalition are already based, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu has stated, amid reports on Feb. 14 that the jets have already arrived.

Wounded police officer dies eight days after PKK attack

A police officer has succumbed to his wounds sustained eight days ago in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attack in Turkey's southeastern ??rnak province. 

The officer, 24-year-old Tayfun Yüce, was wounded on Feb. 1 as PKK militants detonated an improvised explosive device during the passage of an armored police vehicle on the Ataken neighborhood of ??rnak's ?dil district.
