Turkey's top court declares secrecy for hearings in case of Syria-bound intel trucks
The Supreme Court of Appeals has declared ?secrecy? for all hearings in a case against the four prosecutors who ordered the stopping and searching of Syria-bound intelligence trucks in January 2014 and a staff colonel involved in the incident. The five being tried in the case are charged with attempting to topple the government.
'Abluka' wins big at Golden Boll
The 22nd Golden Boll Film Festival, organized in the southern Turkish province of Adana, ended on Sept. 19. The Best Film Award of the festival went to Emin Alper?s ?Abluka? (Frenzy).
The film also won the Best Director of Arts Award, Best Fiction, the Promising Actor Award and the Adana Audience Award.

Coalition air forces bomb ISIL on Turkey-Syria border
Coalition forces have launched an air operation on targets of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) across the border from Turkey's Kilis province in Syria.
Aircraft from U.S.-led coalition forces bombed ISIL targets in the Bab and Rai regions in northern Syria, at a distance of 10 kilometers from Kilis early on Sep. 14.

Golden Boll Film Festival cancels ceremonies
Adana Mayor Hüseyin Sözlü announced on Sept. 8 the opening and closing ceremonies of the 22nd Golden Boll Film Festival, to be held between Sept. 14 and 20 in the southern province of Adana, have been canceled because of the recent terror attacks in the country. All festival events were also canceled.

Fifteen films to compete at Golden Boll
The 22nd Golden Boll Film Festival, which will be held between Sept. 14 and 22 in the southern province of Adana, will have 15 films in contention for the main National Feature Film Competition.
Fifty-eight films had been submitted for nomination for the prize, the winner of which will receive 350,000 Turkish Liras.
