Turkey Conducts Airstrikes on 17 Suspected PKK Targets
Turkey conducted a new series of airstrikes overnight, hitting 17 suspected Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) targets in the southeastern part of the country on the border with Iran and Iraq.
According to a statement of the Turkish General Staff, the airstrikes were aimed at "terrorist targets" around the Buzul mountain and Ikiyaka region in Hakkari province.
Three ISIL-linked Russians arrested in southern Turkey
Three Russian members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) have been arrested in the southern province of Adana.
"Three foreign nationals believed to be ISIL members have been arrested by the Adana Provincial Gendarmerie Command in Adana's Yumurtal?k district," the Turkish General Staff said in a written statement on Aug 9.
