Turkish government replaces police chiefs in five provinces
New police chiefs have been assigned to five provinces across Turkey, including the metropolis Istanbul, according to a presidential decree published on June 16 in the Official Gazette.
Suspects detained over alleged Syria terror links
Provincial security forces in Turkey's south held six suspects allegedly linked to terrorist groups in Syria on June 11.
Security forces in Adana province began inspections on the six suspects, whose addresses were surrounded and searched during the operations.
The suspects were taken to police headquarters following health controls.

Turkish security forces seized 700,000 face masks which were illegally produced and sold in southern Adana province, sources said on April 23.
Acting on a tip-off, provincial gendarmerie command teams carried out raids in three different locations in Seyhan and Cukurova districts, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Turkey evacuates expats worldwide amid COVID-19
Turkey evacuated more than 1,700 of its nationals on April 23 from all over the world amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A specially arranged Turkish Airlines flight carrying 181 Turkish citizens left from Azerbaijan's Ganja International Airport and landed in the Black Sea province of Ordu.
