Türkiye working to diversify renewable energy resources
The Agriculture and Forestry Ministry is working on projects aimed at utilizing geothermal energy resources, particularly in urban agriculture, while officials are looking into ways to boost biomass production in rural areas.
The ministry favors the specialized greenhouse-organized industrial zones based on geothermal heating (TDİOSB) as the more appropriate model.

Turkey brings back nationals abroad amid COVID-19
Turkey brought back 777 of its nationals from Morocco, Algeria, Italy, and the U.S. early on April 25 as part of its ongoing repatriation efforts.
It is working to bring back nearly 25,000 citizens for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan who have been stranded abroad because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visitors admire new-born puppies in Turkey's Aksaray
A group of six new-born puppies known as "Malaklı" has left visitors in admiration in the central Anatolian province of Aksaray.
Fatih Dağdaş, the breeder of the Bandogs, said the puppies were born 15 days ago, noting that they need special care particularly in the winter.
Police capture PKK militant suspected over Istanbul bombing
Police have captured an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militant whom they suspect carried out a "motorbike bomb" attack on Oct. 6 that wounded 10 people near an Istanbul police station.
A total of six people had been detained in connection with the attack in the Yenibosna neighborhood, several kilometres from Istanbul's Atatürk Airport.
