Erdoğan appoints new deputy ministers
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has finalized the appointment of 68 deputy ministers to serve in the newly formed cabinet following the May 14 elections.
The appointment decision, signed by Erdoğan, was published in the Official Gazette on June 22.

Suspect in 5 Afghans’ murder in Ankara caught
The suspect wanted for the murder of five Afghan nationals in the capital Ankara was caught in Afghanistan by the Turkish police.
A special team was formed by the Ankara police and the Afghan authorities to shed light on the incident.

New regulation caps refugee population at certain level in provinces
As part of plans to keep foreign population at certain levels within local communities, officials are not allowing 16 provinces, including Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir, to admit additional refugees for settlement.
Over 193,000 Syrians became Turkish citizens: Minister
To date, more than 193,000 Syrians have become Turkish citizens, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has said, accusing Europe of overlooking the migration issue.
He noted that around 3.7 million Syrians live in Turkey under international protection and more than 700,000 Syrian children were born in the country.
Ankara, UN ink pact to help women, children
Turkey's capital and the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) inked a cooperation protocol to support women, children and young adults.
Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş and UNFPA Turkey representative Hassan Mohtashami signed the protocol to support health and protection services for women, children and young adults with special needs, said a statement by the mayor's office.

Apartment fire kills at least four in Turkish capital
At least four people were killed in an apartment fire in the Turkish capital Ankara early on Jan. 1.
The blaze broke out in the basement of an apartment in the Altındağ district, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent on the scene.
Many people suffering from smoke inhalation were taken to hospital.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
