With a whopping 585 thousand reservations made and a predicted holiday activity of 2 million people expected, the southern province of Antalya expects a historic spike in tourism during the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday.
3 volunteers protect sea turtles’ nests for 25 years
The nesting and spawning phase of sea turtles in southern province of Antalya's Çıralı Beach has been protected by three volunteers for 25 years.
Sea turtles come to this beach every year to nest and lay their eggs. The new-born turtles that meet with the sea do not forget the beach where they opened their eyes to the world and come back years later and build their nests.
Divers damage shipwreck off Kemer
Visitors diving at the area a sunken French warship, "Paris 2," located off the southern province of Antalya are causing damage by taking pieces from the ship as souvenirs.

The number of Blue Flag beaches in Türkiye has risen to 551, the Culture Ministry has said.
The Blue Flag awards for 2023 have been announced, and 551 beaches, 23 marinas, 14 tourism boats and 10 private yachts have been awarded with a Blue Flag, according to a statement of the ministry.
