Strong earthquake hits Aegean coast, no casualties reported in Turkey

A magnitude-6.3 earthquake hit the Aegean Sea near the Turkish coast early on July 21.
 
At least two people, one of them was Turkish citizen, were killed on the Greek island of Kos after the strong earthquake.

Several people were also injured in the Aegean province of Muğla.

Hara, 35, and the Victoria's Secret angel were first spotted by the media while the two were passionately kissing in Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul on July 10.

Turkish Defense Minister urges dialogue with Greece amid escalating tensions

Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık on Feb. 5 called on Greece to solve the problems between the two neighbors through dialogue amid escalating tensions between the two NATO allies. 

Işık said the neighboring countries should work together to solve their problems, while adding that "provocative statements" of his Greek counterpart, Panos Kammenos, must end. 

'Refugees' in Aegean turn out to be Colombian tourists

Coast Guard teams in the southwestern Turkish district of Bodrum searched Colombian tourists on Oct. 26 after suspecting that a family in a tour boat might be refugees trying to cross the Aegean Sea, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Tourists on the boat spotted people who were swimming with life jackets near the boat, believing that they were migrants.
