Child Pornography Offences Increase in Romania During Pandemic

The Romanian Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism, DIICOT said on Friday that there has been an increase in the detected production and distribution of pornographic material featuring minors, as freedom of movement limitations bring about by the pandemic led to a dramatic increase in online interactions.

The earthquake registering a 5.8-degree magnitude on the Richter scale, which occurred on Sunday morning is part of the normal seismic activity of the Vrancea area and aftershocks are not expected to occur, Director General of the National Institute of Earth Physics Research and Development (INFP) Constantin Ionescu told AGERPRES on Sunday.

Code Yellow for Floods in Covasna, Brasov and Buzau counties

Bucharest, Aug 18 /Agerpres/ - The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management issued on Saturday afternoon a Code Yellow for Floods in the Covasna, Brasov and Buzau counties, valid until 11:00 pm.

According to hydrologists, due to the rainfall there is potential local flooding effects and increase in flows and levels of rivers, in the counties of Covasna, Brasov and Buzau.
