The residents of California approved on Tuesday the legal use by adults of marijuana for personal pleasure.
Thus, the most populous state will be open to the prosperous market for commercial cannabis.
At 90% of processed ballots, 56% have voted "yes".

Four Turkish citizens missing in the United States have been found, after the fire they lit was seen by rescue teams in California's Santa Clarita.
Four citizens, Barış Kavukçu, Berkay Sürmeli, İlkay Zaman and İsa Emre Elvermez, had been missing for two days after heading into a forested area, private broadcaster CNN Türk reported.

James Galanos, a second-generation Greek-American fashion designer, died of natural causes at his residence in West Hollywood, California, on Sunday.
He was 92.
Galanos was best known for the made-to-measure garments he created for a select clientele that included Nancy Reagan.

French singing legend Charles Aznavour, one of the 20th century's most prolific songwriters who remains active at 92, was honored on Oct. 27 with a Hollywood star presented by California's Armenians.
