Archaeological excavations carried out in the ancient city of Hadrianopolis in the northern province of Karabük have unearthed a block stone that has the name of the god of health, Asclepius, written on it.

Thousands of 'tessera' in Hadrianopolis being restored
In Hadrianaupolis located in Karabük province's Eskipazar district, which is thought to have been used as a settlement in the Late Chalcolithic, Roman, and Early Byzantine periods, the tesserae on the church floors will be repaired with restoration works. (Source: AA)

Works have been resumed, after two years, in the ancient city of Hadrianapolis in the northern province of Karabük's Eskipazar district.
The ancient city is believed to have been established in the first century B.C. and was used as a settlement until the eighth century.
