Turkey's National Security Council on June 2 called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility to find a just and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue.

He was summoned after he caused dissatisfaction among Palestinians with comments that were estimated to favor Israel.

If Israel wants healthy ties with Ankara, it must abandon its wrongful policies and end violence against Palestinians, Turkey's foreign minister said on June 2.

Turkey on May 27 denounced remarks of the director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip - which justified the Israeli assault on the blockaded enclave.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Tanju Bilgiç in a statement called Matthias Schmale's remarks "incorrect, unfortunate and extremely dangerous."

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Tel Aviv on May 25, days after an Egypt-brokered truce halted fighting between the Jewish state and the Gaza Strip's Islamist rulers Hamas.

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh on May 24 said that the Palestinian group supported Turkey's rapprochement with Egypt.

Belarusian Transport Ministry announced that Hamas was behind the bomb threat that allegedly forced a Ryanair flight to land in Minsk on May 23, reports the Belarusian news.

According to the media, the intensive bombing of the positions of that movement by the Israeli forces destroyed the infrastructure of Hamas.
