About half of live dolphins caught in the Japanese coastal town of Taiji were exported to China and other countries despite global criticism of the hunting technique used, a news report has said.

The first to be interviewed was H.E. Zurab Beridze, the Ambassador of Georgia to Bulgaria.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and his Georgian counterpart Irakli Garibashvili discussed bilateral cooperation in Riga during the Eastern Partnership Summit.

President Klaus Iohannis on Friday stated that the implementation of the existing agreements between the EU and Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia must remain a priority and that the Union must support this process of implementation by providing technical and financial assistance.

Romania's President Klaus Iohannis said Thursday that Romania is directly interested in the European bids of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, adding that the EU's Eastern Partnership Summit meeting in Riga is expected to mark the consolidation of EU's relationships with the three countries.

A three-year-old boy from Georgia died on Thursday after falling down a light well from a fifth floor apartment in the area of Kallithea, southern Athens.

A police investigation was underway to determine the cause of the fatal accident.
