Two soldiers were killed and three were wounded on Aug. 24 in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) mine attack in the southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari.
Turkey Conducts Airstrikes on 17 Suspected PKK Targets
Turkey conducted a new series of airstrikes overnight, hitting 17 suspected Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) targets in the southeastern part of the country on the border with Iran and Iraq.
According to a statement of the Turkish General Staff, the airstrikes were aimed at "terrorist targets" around the Buzul mountain and Ikiyaka region in Hakkari province.
Military hits PKK bases as violence continues
Turkish war planes carried out a new wave of air strikes against 17 targets of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the southeastern province of Hakkari overnight as a soldier was killed in an attack on a military post and as Turkey bid farewell to six members of security forces killed in recent attacks.
