Turkish military issues arrest warrant for convicted retired general in mine blast case
An arrest warrant has been issued for retired Brigadier General Zeki Es, who has yet to surrender despite receiving a jail sentence of six years eight months for his alleged role in a mine blast in Turkey's eastern province of Hakkari that killed seven soldiers in 2009. The sentence was approved by the Military Supreme Court of Appeals 12 months ago.
Turkish military responds to PKK attacks: TSK
The outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) targeted a military base with two mortar attacks in southeastern Turkey, the Turkish general staff said in a statement on June 7.
The PKK attacked the Da?l?ca military base close to the Iraqi border in Hakkari province at around 12.35 p.m. local time (10.35 GMT) on June 6, the statement said, adding that there were no casualties.

Mortars target military base in eastern Turkey
A "group of terrorists" launched a mortar attack on a military base in the eastern Turkish province of Hakkari on May 25, the Turkish Armed Forces has announced in an official statement.
The military base in the Da?l?ca district of Hakkari was shelled by an unidentified group, but the attack was halted after the military hit back, according to the statement.

Property sales soar almost 50 percent in Turkey
The number of property sales increased by 42.7 percent in April to 119,317 from the same period of the previous year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜ?K) on May 25.
Additionally, mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey reached 46,063, an increase of 96.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
