At least 12 people have died and 31 got injured in a pile-up as multiple vehicles collided in the southern province of Hatay, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced.

State of emergency in quake provinces to end on May 9: AKP official
The state of emergency declared after the earthquakes in the southern province of Kahramanmaraş will end on May 9, ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Deputy Chairman for Election Affairs Ali İhsan Yavuz said on May 4 in a televised interview.
ISIL leader committed suicide before capture by Turkish forces
Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, the so-called leader of the ISIL terror group, detonated his suicide vest as he realized that he was about to be captured by Turkish intelligence forces, according to security sources.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on late April 30 announced that the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) "neutralized" al-Qurashi in Syria.
Woman calls locals of quake-hit Hatay back to their hometown
A woman from quake-hit Hatay has formed an association called "We are here, Hatay" ("Buradayız Hatay" in Turkish) to encourage their relatives and neighbors to back to their hometown.
As the southern province of Hatay suffered the worst damage in the earthquakes on the night of Feb. 6, approximately 700,000 people migrated to other cities.
Painter portrays plight of quake survivors in watercolor
A painter living in the Central Anatolian province of Kırıkkale draws paintings of heartbreaking moments from the Kahramanmaraş-centered quakes and displays them on her wall, dedicating them to quake survivor children.
Şengül Otman, a 43-year-old painter living in Kırıkkale, paints historical structures and cultural assets in many provinces of the country with watercolor.
Temperatures to drop throughout Türkiye once again
After a brief period of sunshine and warm weather, the temperature in the northern and central parts of the country is likely to decline again starting April 26, with particularly western provinces of Türkiye to witness a sharp temperature drop, the Turkish State Meteorology Service has announced.
Precipitation will continue to stay in effect throughout the week in the country.

Türkiye marks Eid in solidarity with quake victims
Türkiye has come together in solidarity with quake victims to mark the occasion of Eid-Al Fitr, as the three-day holiday begins on April 21 with the ending of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Also celebrated as the "Candy Festival" in Türkiye, Eid is a public holiday during which people traditionally visit their families and friends and offer meals and desserts.

Tent fire kills another girl in quake-hit Hatay
A 17-year-old girl severely injured in the fire that broke out in the tent where she was staying in the southern quake-hit province of Hatay has died after her 25-day struggle for life, bringing the death toll to two.

Members of 3 religions gather around ‘Unity Table’

Quake survivors depart from Hatay for Eid holiday
Earthquake survivors are seen departing from the bus terminal in the southern province of Hatay, the city most harshly affected by the Feb. 6 quakes, to the coastal cities for to the Eid holiday.
Volunteer citizens who came to the city to help after the earthquakes as well as quake survivors filled the bus terminal to start their Eid holiday.
