A dog rescued its 12-year-old owner from under the ruins of the earthquakes in Turkey, "Hurriyet Daily News" reported, quoted by BTA.
The dog bit the boy's clothes and pulled him out from under the debris of their home in their village in Kahramanmaraş district.
Prosecutor demands up to 54 years for child abuse
A lawsuit has been filed against a 27-year-old man arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in the southern province of Kahramanmaraş, with a demand for up to 54 years and nine months in prison.

House fire kills three children in Kahramanmaraş
Three Syrian children have lost their lives in a house fire in the southern province of Kahramanmaraş.
The cause of the fire which erupted in a detached house in Dulkadiroğlu district has not been determined yet. Though the firefighters who came to the scene after being notified extinguished the fire in a short time, the three siblings in the house could not be saved.

Turkish wrestler wins world championship
Turkish athlete Burhan Akbudak has earned a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championship after beating Uzbekistan's Jalgasbay Berdimuratov in Greco-Roman 82 kg.
This was also the first medal Türkiye earned in the tournament that started on Sept. 10 and will end on Sept. 18.

Air pollution blamed for 45,000 premature deaths in 2018
Air pollution caused a total of 44,617 premature deaths in 2018 in Turkey, recent research has shown.
Most fatalities due to prolonged exposure to the airborne PM2.5, known as particulate matter, occurred in the provinces of Iğdır, Kahramanmaraş, Mersin, Manisa, Niğde and Burdur, said Professor Kayıhan Pala from the Uludağ University's Medical School who led the study.
