Türkiye aims to boost domestic missile’s range: Erdoğan
The current range of Türkiye's domestic missile is 565 kilometers, but this is not enough, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said.
"We will increase it to 1,000 kilometers," Erdoğan said while speaking in the province of Muğla during a visit on Jan. 14.
Türkiye will not hold back when it comes to protecting its rights in the Mediterranean, the Aegean, and the Black Sea.

2,400-year-old tomb found in southwestern province
A tomb estimated to be 2,400-year-old has come to light in the southwestern province of Muğla's Milas district.
After a citizen noticed a large stone while digging a field some 30 inches below the ground, he realized it was a historical relic and notified the Milas Museum Directorate.

Six migrants including two babies die at sea after Greek pushback: Türkiye
Six migrants including two babies have died at sea after Greece pushed them back to Turkish waters in the Aegean, the Turkish coastguard said on Sept. 13.
Another 73 migrants were also rescued off Muğla province in the southwest, the coastguard said.

Turkish travel writers have listed the most 10 beautiful coves one can visit during a blue voyage in the Aegean and the Mediterranean Seas, with the Cove of Bedri Rahmi topping the list.
The cove in the southwestern province of Muğla's Göcek neighborhood is named after famous Turkish poet, writer, and painter Bedri Rahmi Eyüpoğlu, who died in 1975 at the age of 64.

160 migrants pushed back by Greece saved on Aegean
Turkish Coast Guard teams have saved a total of 160 migrants pushed back by Greek forces on the Aegean Sea in two different locations.
The first incident happened off the southwestern province of Muğla's Bodrum district early Aug. 28 when Coast Guard officers saved some 64 migrants pushed back by Greece.

Resort town Bodrum eyes 1 mln foreign visitors this year
Some 1 million foreign tourists are expected to visit the popular resort town of Bodrum in the western province of Muğla, according to Ömer Faruk Dengiz, the head of the local hoteliers' association (BODER).
Since the start of the year, 500,000 foreign holidaymakers have arrived in the town by plane, and this figure will further rise to 800,000 by the end of 2022, Dengiz said.
First baby Caretta hatched after nesting works
Following the nesting process of endangered Caretta caretta, which started at the end of May, the first baby Caretta has hatched from its egg in the southwestern province of Muğla's İztuzu beach on July 13.

British model wounded in car crash in Bodrum
British model and reality star Yazmin Oukhellou has been gravely wounded and her boyfriend, Jake Robert Mclean, lost his life in a car crash in the southwestern province of Muğla's Bodrum district.
According to police reports, the car Mclean was driving fell into a roadside ditch after he lost control of the vehicle in the world renowned Aegean tourism hub.
