Plovdiv's Tourism Industry Bounces Back, Exceeding Pre-Pandemic Figures

Plovdiv's tourism sector is steadily approaching a complete rebound, showcasing a return to pre-pandemic levels, as revealed by the latest data from the National Statistics for the initial nine months of this year. Notably, the number of overnight stays has even exceeded the levels seen in the pre-pandemic year of 2019, when the city held the esteemed title of European Capital of Culture.

BGN 14 million For Cleaner Air in Plovdiv

Plovdiv with an application for participation in a pilot project to improve air quality. The city will receive gratuitously BGN 14 million under the EU Operational Program "Environment".

Money is provided to replace solid fuel stoves with air conditioners and other ecological ways of domestic heating. The project will be completed by December 31, 2023.

The Program of "Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019" Starts Today

The program of "Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019" was launched, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

Over the course of an extended weekend (11 - 13 January 2019) a series of events will take place at various in- and outdoor spaces across the city. Its peak will be on Saturday, 12 January.

Sting will Sing Twice in Plovdiv Next Year

The musician chose the Antique Theater himself. 

Sting returns to Bulgaria for two concerts next year, Sofia Music Publishers announced.

Concerts of the famous musician on 19 and 20 June 2018 are included in the Hills Exclusive format and are implemented with the support of Plovdiv Municipality as part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Plovdiv Municipality for 2018.
