Endangered weasel released back into nature

An endangered weasel has been released back into its natural habitat after being treated by locals in Turkey's eastern province of Siirt.

Believed to have been hungry and fallen exhausted due to heavy snowfall in the region a while ago, the weasel was found by Nureddin Yeşilfidan, a villager living in the province's Baykan district.

HDP must distance itself from PKK, says Akşener

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) must distance itself from the terrorist PKK, Meral Akşener, the leader of the opposition İYİ (Good) Party, has said.

"We have been stressing this for months: We put the HDP next to the PKK," Akşener said during her party's parliamentary group meeting yesterday, suggesting the HDP has close ties to the terror organization.

Turkey passes 60 million-dose mark in vaccinations

Turkey has surpassed a 60 million-dose mark in the number of COVID-19 vaccines administered in its inoculation campaign that began in mid-January.

According to data from the country's Health Ministry, well over 38 million people have been given their first doses of the injection, while more than 18 million people have been fully vaccinated against the deadly virus.
