Bulgarian border police detained 34 illegal immigrants in three operations across the country on Saturday.
On Saturday night a border police patrol attempted to stop two vehicles for a check near the village of Gabar in the municipality of Sozopol.
Bulgarian Police Detain 58 Illegal Immigrants in Burgas Province
Bulgarian police detained three groups of illegal immigrants, numbering a total of 58 people, in the province of Burgas on Sunday.
One of the groups was arrested in one of the neighbourhoods of Burgas when officers from the first district department stopped a vehicle for inspection.
Star of Ancient Sozopol 'Possibly Served as Model for Macedonia's Coat of Arms'
Archaeological excavations in the Bulgarian seaside town of Sozopol on Sunday revealed an interesting find - a leaden bucranium with an eight-ray star, which possibly served as model for the coat of arms of Macedonia.
This was announced by the Director of the National Historical Museum (NIM) Bozhidar Dimitrov in a press release on Monday.

Bulgaria's Archaeological Museum in the Black Sea town of Sozopol will exhibit 24 valuable artifacts of the earliest ancient history of the town in the French Louvre Museum.
