Laybys to be established for couriers to rest

World’s first UCAV ship docks in Istanbul
TCG Anadolu, the world's first armed ship carrying unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV), docked at Sarayburnu on April 17 and is open to the public.
The ship, which set off from the Tuzla district to Sarayburnu, entered the Bosphorus on April 16. The Bosphorus was closed to sea transport when TCG Anadolu entered. Soldiers ready with equipped weapons on the ship also drew attention.

Casting lots for housing project in Istanbul begins
Within the scope of the İlk Evim (My First Home) Project, the first drawing of lots for Istanbul's Tuzla district took place on March 16, with owners of 20,920 new houses determined already.
The draw was held at Tuzla Viaport Marina in the municipality's event tent at 10 a.m. and was broadcast live online.
Vet adopts baby lion rejected by its mother
A veterinarian has adopted a newborn lion as its mother rejected it at birth and bottle-fed the cub for 45 days in his house.
Working as a veterinarian at a zoo in Istanbul's Tuzla district, Yücel Yılmaz adopted an endangered white lion when its mother rejected it after birth.
Yılmaz took care of the lion, whose mother did not nurse it, for 45 days with his wife and children.
