The Eco-Ministry: There is No Pollution from "Nova Kakhovka" in the Bulgarian part of the Black Sea

There is no pollution in the Bulgarian part of the Black Sea as a result of Russia's destruction of the wall of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine. This was announced by the Ministry of Environment and Water at a press conference in Varna. The conclusion is based on research by the Institute of Oceanology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

COVID-19 in Bulgaria: 121 New Cases in the Last 24 hours

The new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria for the last 24 hours are 121, according to the data of the Unified Information Portal.

3,071 tests were performed, which means that the proportion of positive results is 3.9 percent.

Three patients with confirmed coronavirus infection have died.

1048 Pre-Trial Proceedings for Non-Compliance with Covid-19 Emergency Measures

A total of 1048 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated since the start of the coronavirus State of Emergency on March 13 for non-compliance with measures and rules related to curbing the spread of Covid-19, the Prosecutor's Office said on April 23.

The largest number is in the district of Varna, 136, followed by the district of Haskovo, 91.

Despite the decline in early booking of tourists from Germany and Russia for holiday on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, there are  are still countries which prefer to spend their holiday in Bulgaria. This was announced by Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova in Varna.

Varna Loses EUR 225,000 European Funding due to Irregularities in Public Procurement

Nearly BGN 225 thousand will have to pay from its budget Municipality of Varna as a financial correction for violations in the organization of a public procurement contract for three road repairs. They are part of the second phase of its Integrated Urban Transport project.
