The Blue Zone in Varna will be Free of Charge For Electric Vehicles

The owners of electric cars will use the blue zone in Varna and will charge their cars from the power stations completely free of charge. This is recorded in the new Ordinance for organizing the movement of the territory of the municipality of Varna, which received the approval of the advisors of the Transport Communist Party to the Municipal Council.

Industrial-technological Park will be Build in Varna

Industrial-technological Park will be built in Varna. This was decided by the councilors of the property and economy commission in the sea capital. The sole owner of the capital will be the Municipality of Varna and the intention is to invite the "National Company Industrial Zone" as a shareholder at a later stage.

Bulgarian PM Cancels Three Public Tenders Worth BGN 170 M

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov ordered on Thursday the cancellation of another set of public procurement tenders worth BGN 170 M.

Two of the public procurement procedures were launched by the municipality of Varna and the other one by Burgas.

Borisov has already held talks with the mayors of Varna and Burgas, Ivan Portnih and Dimitar Nikolov, Darik radio informs.

Bulgarian Rock Monastery Is in Urgent Need of Renovation to Avoid Closure

The Aladzha rock monastery situated along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is in need of an urgent renovation in order to avoid being closed to visitors in 2016.

Nearly BGN 500 000 are needed for complete conservation of the catacombs and the monastery as such preservation works have not been carried out since the 1960s.

Roma Who Built Illegally in Bulgaria's Varna 'Can't Have Housing'

Roma residents who erected illegally dozens of homes in a Varna ghetto have no right to be provided with social housing, a regional mayor has said.

Authorities began on Thursday demolishing part of 60 dwellings which are to be bulldozed after having sheltered hundreds of Roma people for years.

Bulgaria-registered Qatar Management Agency EOOD bought industrial and agricultural property worth over BGN 4.85 M in the district of Varna in end-May.

Qatar Management Agency EOOD was registered in 2008.

The CEO of the company is Sheikh Mohamed Jassim Al-Thani.

Most Of the Asparuhovo Flood Victims Lived in Illegal Houses

The houses on Gorna Studena street where most of the Asparuhovo flood victims died, are illegal, reports Sega daily. 

According to Oleg Kolev, chief expert in the Landslides and Ground Reinforcement department of the Varna municipality, by law the houses had to be at least 25 meters away from the concrete bed of the gully. They were built right next to it, instead.
