After the website Teleprompter published what appears to be a transcribed conversation of Bojan Pajtic, leader of the opposition Democratic Party, on Friday he urged parliament to investigate who was behind the wiretapping.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has announced the possibility of early parliamentary elections even though his government has a stable majority and another three years to run in office.

Vucic on Wednesday said he "was thinking about early elections" but added that no final decision has been made.

The Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina on Tuesday established the public institution "Vojvodina Academy of Sciences, Arts and Culture (VANUK)."

Its aim to promote these in the province.

Opposition DS holds protest rally in Belgrade

BELGRADE -- The Democratic Party (DS) on Saturday held a rally on Republic Square in Belgrade that brought together about 5,500 supporters, according to police estimates.

The party is in opposition in the state parliament, and in power in the province of Vojvodina.

SREMSKA MITROVICA - We have managed to halt the destruction of the country and pave the way for economic and overall recovery, Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Igor Mirovic said on Sunday.

Speaking at a session of the Main Board of the SNS, the leading party of the ruling coalition, Mirovic said that Serbia had been exposed to decades of systematic destruction.

Seselj asked to declare himself on prosecution's request

THE HAGUE -- The Hague Appeals Chamber has asked Vojislav Seselj to declare himself on the prosecution's request for a chamber's decision to be urgently implemented.

The Appeals Chamber is demanding that Seselj's provisional release is terminated and that he is returned to the custody of the court.
