Archaeologists discover 8600-year-old bread at Çatalhöyük
Archaeologists have discovered nearly 8,600-year-old bread in the Çatalhöyük Neolithic settlement, one of the first places of urban settlement in the world in central Anatolian province of Konya. The site was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012.
Italian, Turkish fashion designers to work on 'Enheduanna' project
Within the scope of the "Enheduanna" project, which brings together Turkish and Italian fashion designers, a design competition with wide participation will take place, bringing to life 20 fabrics produced in ancient Anatolia with 12 historical females of Mesopotamia.
Çatalhöyük source of inspiration for artists
The exhibition "The Trace of Memory: The Neolithic City of Çatalhöyük" is on display at the Atatürk Culture Center (AKM) Gallery.
Curated by Siret Uyanık, the exhibition is jointly organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Konya Metropolitan Municipality. The project is being coordinated by Uyanık and Çatalhöyük Excavation Director Associate Professor Ali Umut Türkcan.

Istanbul Bilgi University to host archaeology professor

New neighborhood found in Çatalhöyük
Ali Umut Türkcan, associate professor from Anadolu University and the head of the Çatalhöyük Neolithic site excavations, has said that they have discovered a street in the newly excavated area at the ancient site, uncovering a second neighborhood.
