Nedic (1982), coming from a reputable family of jurists, graduated from the Faculty of Laws of the University of Belgrade.

Serbia’s oldest school marks 296 years
BELGRADE -- Belgrade’s Kralj Petar Prvi (King Peter I) primary school, the oldest school in Serbia, is marking 296 years since it was established.
The celebration will be held at the Faculty of Education in Belgrade on Wednesday evening, acting Director Mladen Stefanović has told Tanjug.

Sweden to provide assistance to Serbia on EU accession path
BELGRADE - Belgrade's chief negotiator in EU accession talks Tanja Miscevic conferred in Belgrade late on Monday with Director-General for International Development Cooperation of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ann-Sofie Nilsson who announced that her country would deliver EUR 85 million worth of assistance to Serbia by 2020.

Kenya's Talam and Aiyabei win at Belgrade marathon
BELGRADE -- Kenya's Bernard Kipkorir Talam is the winner of the 27th Belgrade Marathon, which saw participation of over 20,000 runners in the Serbian capital on Sunday.
Talam finished the race in 2:14:35, followed by compatriot Paul Kimeli Samoei, who finished in 2:15:50.

Conference of Serbia-Russia Humanitarian Centre
NIS - A scientific and practical conference of the Serbia-Russia Humanitarian Centre will be held in Nis on Saturday, the centre has announced.
The centre will demonstrate a firefighting operation at the Nis airport. The firefighters will receive equipment from the centre.

Exhibition of portraits of theatre and film authors opens
BELGRADE - An exhibition of photographic portraits of theatre and film authors by Mitar Trninic, one of Serbia's best photographic artists, has opened at Galerija 73.
As the third exhibition in Trninic's series titled Explorers, it includes portraits of 34 top artists who created theatrical plays and films over the past four years, and will be open until May 6.
International conference on World War One begins
BELGRADE - An international conference on World War One is being held in Belgrade on Friday, with the goal to objectivise the truth abou that great conflict.
The conference started on Thursday and includes distinguished scientists, historians and military experts from 20 countries in Europe and Asia.

Sinisa Mali becomes Belgrade mayor
BELGRADE - Councillors of the Belgrade City Assembly decided to declare Sinisa Mali as the new Belgrade mayor.
A total of 79 out of 94 councillors voted in favour of Mali's nomination for the mayor put forth by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
Andreja Mladenovic of the Democratic Party of Serbia was chosen deputy mayor.

RSD 60 million in aid for 22 municipalities hit by floods
BELGRADE - A total of RSD 60 million in aid will be given to repair the damage caused by floods in 22 municipalities, the Serbian governmentt committee for assessment of damage caused by natural disasters said on Thursday.
